Volleyball Recap: Sabetha Comes Up Short + How To Watch

It was a Battle of the Birds when Sabetha duked it out with Silver Lake on Tuesday. The Bluejays fell 2-0 to the Eagles. The defeat continues a trend for the Bluejays in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost eight in a row.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-20.

Silver Lake can attribute much of their success to Jaylie Whitehead, who had 13 digs and one assist. Whitehead is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had 13 or more in each of the last three games she's played.

Sabetha's loss dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Silver Lake, the win was the 12th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 22-1.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Sabetha will face off against rival St. Marys on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Silver Lake is set to take on their familiar foe Riley County at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
