Basketball Recap: Elko Extends Road Winning Streak to Five

Elko won the last time they faced Lowry and things went their way on Saturday too. The Elko Indians put the hurt on the Lowry Buckaroos with a sharp 60-37 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Indians.

Lowry's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jaden Jimenez, who posted 12 points and three steals. Another player making a difference was Kayd Garner, who scored seven points.

Elko's win was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-10. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Lowry, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-13.

Elko has already played their next game, a 62-59 victory against Owyhee on the 28th. As for Lowry, they will face off against Churchill County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Churchill County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 58.5 points per game this season.
