Volleyball Game Preview: Marblehead Magicians vs. Peabody Veterans Memorial Tanners

The Marblehead Magicians will venture away from home to square off against the Peabody Veterans Memorial Tanners at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Marblehead is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.

On Monday, Marblehead made easy work of Salem and carried off a 3-0 win.

Marblehead was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-12, 25-19.

Meanwhile, Peabody Veterans Memorial unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-match winning streak on Monday. They lost 3-0 to Masconomet Regional.

Peabody Veterans Memorial was was forced to take the loss, but they sure made Masconomet Regional work for it, especially in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 26-24, 25-22.

Peabody Veterans Memorial's defeat dropped their record down to 8-5. As for Marblehead, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2.

Marblehead took their win against Peabody Veterans Memorial when the teams last played back in September by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Magicians since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
