Soccer Game Preview: Bald Eagle Area vs. Tyrone

The Bald Eagle Area Eagles will head out to take on the Tyrone Golden Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Bald Eagle Area's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for four straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Bald Eagle Area's offense. They came up short against Bedford on Tuesday, falling 13-0. While losing is never fun, Bald Eagle Area can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania soccer rankings (they are ranked 347th, while Bedford are ranked 50th).

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Tyrone, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Somerset on Thursday, sneaking past 2-1. The win was a breath of fresh air for Tyrone as it put an end to their six-match losing streak.

Kadence Berry and Allie Blaska scored both of Tyrone's goals, bringing their combined season tally to seven goals.

Tyrone's victory bumped their record up to 2-6-1. As for Bald Eagle Area, their loss dropped their record down to 1-8-1.

Bald Eagle Area came out on top in a nail-biter against Tyrone in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, sneaking past 5-4. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Eagles since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
