The Pickens Academy Pirates can finally bid farewell to their six-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Thursday. They walked away with a 60-53 victory over Sparta Academy. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Pickens Academy has managed all season.
Sparta Academy lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Logan Robinson, who scored 14 points along with four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Sam Cook, who scored ten points along with three steals.
Pickens Academy's victory ended a three-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-3. As for Sparta Academy, their defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 4-9.
