Baseball Game Preview: Enterprise Bulldogs vs. Presbyterian Christian Bobcats

The Enterprise Bulldogs will face off against the Presbyterian Christian Bobcats at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Enterprise has given up an average of 6.9 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Enterprise's offense. They came up short against Presbyterian Christian on Tuesday, falling 11-0. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

For Presbyterian Christian's part, Tyner Flynt was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out seven over five innings pitched. That's the most runs Walters has posted over his last ten matches. Sam Jones also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Presbyterian Christian kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Enterprise only managed three hits.

The victory was the third in a row for Presbyterian Christian, bringing their record for this year to 8-7. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 6.3 runs over those games. As for Enterprise, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-10.

Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Friday. Enterprise hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Presbyterian Christian struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.5 home runs.
