Baseball Game Preview: Continental Pirates vs. Paulding Panthers

The Continental Pirates will head out to take on the Paulding Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Continental is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Continental couldn't beat Ayersville on Friday even though they stacked four runs on them in the first inning. The Pirates took an 8-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pilots.

Continental saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rhettik Bowers, who went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Adin Daisy also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

Meanwhile, Paulding fell victim to Swanton and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They lost 11-0 to the Bulldogs.

Paulding's defeat dropped their record down to 4-7. As for Continental, their loss dropped their record down to 4-9-1.

Continental might still be hurting after the 8-0 defeat they got from Paulding when the teams last played back in May of 2024. Can the Pirates avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
