Basketball Game Preview: Garrison Bulldogs vs. Tenaha Tigers

Garrison is 0-6 against Tenaha since December of 2018 but things could change on Tuesday. The Garrison Bulldogs will venture away from home to square off against the Tenaha Tigers at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Last Friday, Garrison humbled Elysian Fields with a 75-33 victory. Given the Bulldogs' advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 722nd, while the Yellowjackets are ranked 1516th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Tenaha entered their tilt with Beckville on Friday with ten consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with 11. They took their game with ease, bagging a 57-22 victory over the Bearcats.

Tenaha pushed their record up to 25-6 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.8 points per game. As for Garrison, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 18-8 record this season.

Garrison ended up a good deal behind Tenaha in their previous meeting on January 3rd, losing 59-41. Can Garrison avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
