Basketball Recap: Gilmour Academy Takes a Loss

Gilmour Academy lost against Archbishop Hoban back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Gilmour Academy Lancers came up short against the Archbishop Hoban Knights, falling 59-34. While losing is never fun, the Lancers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 171st, while the Knights are ranked 14th).

Gilmour Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season. As for Archbishop Hoban, the win (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 11-1.

Gilmour Academy has already played their next game, a 63-27 victory against Villa Angela-St. Joseph on the 11th. As for Archbishop Hoban, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 60-35 win against Rogers on the 11th.
