East Moline United saw some tournament action on Friday. They fell 47-38 to Rochelle.

Meanwhile, Rockford Christian was able to grind out a solid victory over Alleman on Friday, taking the game 44-35. The win was all the more spectacular given the Royal Lions' disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 243rd, while the Pioneers are ranked 43rd).

Rockford Christian now has a winning record of 5-4. As for East Moline United, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-13.
