Basketball Recap: Blake Hansen Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Emmett

A well-balanced attack led Columbia over Emmett in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. The Columbia Wildcats took down the Emmett Huskies 63-45. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 49-41 back in January.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Columbia to victory, but perhaps none more so than Blake Hansen, who dropped a double-double with 22 points and 14 rebounds. Hansen's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Easton Lott, who went 6-for-11 to rack up 16 points along with six boards and three steals.

Columbia smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 16 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Columbia now has a winning record of 10-9. As for Emmett, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 2-16 record this season.

Columbia wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 59-37 win against Nampa on the 14th. Emmett has also already played their next contest (against Middleton), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
