Wheelersburg strolled into their game on Wednesday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They were the clear victors by a 27-1 margin over the Minford Falcons. Considering the Pirates have won nine contests by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.

Wheelersburg pushed their record up to 13-0 with the victory, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.7 runs on average over those games. As for Minford, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wheelersburg will welcome Boyd County at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Pirates' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Lions have averaged an impressive 8.3 runs per game this season. As for Minford, they will take on Northwest at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Falcons will need to watch out since the Mohawks have now posted at least ten runs in their last three games.
