Chalmette lost a heartbreaker the last time they played Covington, but it's fair to say they got their revenge given the result of Wednesday's game. The Owls were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Lions on Wednesday. The Owls might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 matchups by seven runs or more this season.

The win (which was Chalmette's third in a row) raised their record to 18-18. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.3 runs on average over those games. As for Covington, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 20-13.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chalmette will welcome De La Salle at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Covington, they will challenge Mandeville at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
