Volleyball Recap: Esperanza Wins Going Away Against Bellflower

Esperanza's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Bellflower Buccaneers as they made off with a 3-0 victory.

While Esperanza might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Bellflower scored at least 19 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-19, 25-20.

Bellflower's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Aydan Flores, who had 23 assists and five digs. Flores is on a roll when it comes to assists, as he's now posted 14 or more in each of the last 30 games he's played dating back to last season.

Esperanza's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 17-11. As for Bellflower, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 16-12.

As of now, neither Esperanza nor the Buccaneers have any future games scheduled.
