Basketball Recap: West Vigo Picks Up Third Consecutive Victory

West Vigo entered their tilt with Casey-Westfield on Thursday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They managed a 48-43 victory over the Casey-Westfield Warriors. For the Vikings, this counts as revenge for the 76-66 win the Warriors walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2019.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Daryn Hupp, who went 5 of 10 on his way to 15 points. Those 15 points gave Hupp a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Parcel, who posted 13 points in addition to five assists and five boards.

West Vigo now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Casey-Westfield, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-2.

West Vigo wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 47-40 loss against Terre Haute South Vigo on the 27th. As for Casey-Westfield, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 59-51 victory against Shakamak on the 27th.
