Volleyball Recap: Salpointe Catholic Triumphs + How To Watch

Salpointe Catholic is still undefeated this season after their match against Mica Mountain on Tuesday, but Mica Mountain came as close as anyone has to beating them. The Lancers came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 3-2 W against the Thunderbolts. This was payback for the Lancers, who suffered a 3-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Salpointe Catholic who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 27-25, 13-25, 25-14, 23-25, 15-11.

Reagan Burgle went supernova, getting 25 digs and two aces. Those 25 digs gave her a new career-high. Kiki Muehlebach also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Despite the loss, Mica Mountain still got an impressive performance from MIA PARKER, who had 38 assists and seven digs.

Salpointe Catholic's win bumped their record up to 15-0. As for Mica Mountain, their defeat ended an eight-match streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 9-4.

Salpointe Catholic has already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Sacred Heart Prep on the 26th. As for Mica Mountain, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Sahuaro on the 24th.
