Baseball Recap: Springville Gets the Win

It was a proper cat-fight when Springville duked it out with Brookwood on Saturday. Springville came out on top against Brookwood by a score of 5-2.

Grant Martinez was incredible, going 1-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That triple marked the first that he hit this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob Bailey, who went 2-for-3 with two RBI.

Springville's win bumped their record up to 14-3. As for Brookwood, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-12.

Looking ahead, Springville will venture away from home to face off against Ardmore at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Brookwood, they will head out on the road to challenge Hueytown at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hueytown will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something Brookwood surely won't give up without a fight.
