Softball Recap: Evans' Undefeated Season over After Five Games

Evans managed to slip by Glascock County the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Knights came up short against the Panthers on Thursday, falling 13-1. The match marked the Knights' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Evans saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Merisa Shoener, who went 1-for-2 with one run. Braedyn Quarles also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Evans fell to 4-1. As for Glascock County, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-1.

Coming up, Evans will be taking part in a tournament against Briarwood Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Glascock County, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Greenbrier at 5:00 p.m.
