Basketball Game Preview: Eustace Bulldogs vs. Mineola Yellowjackets

The Eustace Bulldogs are taking a road trip to take on the Mineola Yellowjackets at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Eustace is coming into the game on a five-game losing streak.

Last Saturday, Eustace had to suffer through a 66-19 loss at the hands of Malakoff. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 1069th, while the Tigers are ranked 115th).

Heagen Manken was Eustace's leading scorer, having posted six points. Aurora Powell took the lead distributing the ball, coming up with three assists.

Mineola played against Winona and won via forfeit.

Mineola is on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 contests, which provided a massive bump to their 15-14 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 28.8 points per game. As for Eustace, their loss dropped their record down to 7-13.

Eustace was dealt a bruising 61-25 defeat at the hands of Mineola in their previous meeting back in December of 2024. Can Eustace avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
