Basketball Game Preview: Windthorst Trojans vs. Seymour Panthers

The Windthorst Trojans will head out on the road to take on the Seymour Panthers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Windthorst is probably headed into the game with a chip on their shoulder considering Nocona just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Friday. They came up short against the Indians, falling 56-33. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 835th, while the Indians are ranked 197th).

Meanwhile, Seymour waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They breezed by the Cubs to the tune of 73-14. The Panthers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 18 matches by 23 points or more this season.

Seymour is also on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 23-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.6 points per game. As for Windthorst, their loss dropped their record down to 9-12.

Windthorst was dealt a bruising 64-32 defeat at the hands of Seymour in their previous meeting on January 3rd. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point Windthorst was down 30-10.
