Softball Recap: Athens Find Success

Athens won the last time they faced Giles County and things went their way on Monday too. The Golden Eagles walked away with a 10-7 win over the Bobcats. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Golden Eagles.

Athens' victory bumped their record up to 20-11. As for Giles County, the loss snapped their winning streak at five games and leaves them with a 20-6 record.

Coming up, Athens will head out on the road to face off against Hartselle at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Giles County, they will face off against Marshall County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The last six games the Tigers have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
