Volleyball Recap: Firebaugh Comes Up Short

Firebaugh was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lindsay Cardinals. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cardinals apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in August of 2024.

The defeat didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: Lindsay scored at least 17 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-20.

Firebaugh's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Lindsay, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.

Firebaugh didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 victory against Wonderful College Prep Academy on the 23rd. As for Lindsay, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 2-0 win against Granite Hills on the 23rd.
