Basketball Recap: Jersey Village Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Bryce Jones and Champion Ellis Jr.

Jersey Village played a tough game on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against the Cypress Creek Cougars, falling 55-35. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Cougars recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.

Jersey Village's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Champion Ellis Jr., who posted eight points and nine rebounds, and Bryce Jones, who put up ten points and five boards. Orlando Ray also deserves some recognition as he pulled down his first rebound of the season.

Jersey Village's defeat dropped their record down to 11-20. As for Cypress Creek, the win (which was their ninth in a row) raised their record to 23-11.

Jersey Village will be playing at home against Northbrook at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Jersey Village is facing Northbrook at the right time seeing as Northbrook is stuck on a 13-game losing streak. As for Cypress Creek, they will head out to face off against Stratford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cypress Creek has been dominant on offense recently, having racked up an incredible 188 points over their last three contests.
