Basketball Recap: Pebblebrook Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

Pebblebrook won the last time they faced Harrison and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Pebblebrook Falcons walked away with a 68-56 win over the Harrison Hoyas. Given the Falcons' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 29th, while the Hoyas are ranked 135th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Pebblebrook is also on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-8 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.8 points per game. As for Harrison, their loss dropped their record down to 13-11.

It'll be a Battle of the Birds when the Pebblebrook Falcons duke it out with the South Cobb Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with South Cobb sitting on four straight victories and Pebblebrook on three. As for Harrison, they will face off against McEachern at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. McEachern knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past nine contests -- so hopefully Harrison likes a good challenge.
