Basketball Recap: Israel Lockridge Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Konos Academy

There's no place like home for Trinity Christian School of Griffin, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top against the Konos Academy Condor by a score of 63-54 on Tuesday. This was a revenge game for the LIONS: when they faced off against the Condor back in December of 2024, they had to take a 66-61 defeat.

Trinity Christian School of Griffin's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Israel Lockridge led the charge by putting up 12 points along with seven steals and six boards. Lockridge is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least five every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Travone Appling, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds.

Despite the loss, Konos Academy still got an impressive performance from Joshua Knapp, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 14 boards. The dominant performance gave Knapp a new career-high in points. Caleb Knapp was another key player, scoring eight points.

The win got Trinity Christian School of Griffin back to even at 4-4. As for Konos Academy, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 6-10.

Trinity Christian School of Griffin has already played their next contest, a 68-44 victory against Skipstone Academy on the 16th. As for Konos Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 64-58 defeat against New Creation Christian Academy on the 16th.
