Baseball Game Preview: Central Private Redhawks vs. Episcopal Knights

The Central Private Redhawks will challenge the Episcopal Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Central Private managed to slip by St. John the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Redhawks lost 8-1 to the Eagles on Friday. The Redhawks' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Episcopal). They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 11-10 victory over French Settlement on Saturday. The win was some much needed relief for the Knights as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.

Central Private's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Episcopal, their victory bumped their record up to 7-12.

Everything went Central Private's way against Episcopal in their previous meeting back in March of 2025, as Central Private made off with a 10-2 win. Will the Redhawks repeat their success, or do the Knights have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
