Basketball Recap: West Ridge Takes a Loss

West Ridge has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were one points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 64-63 heartbreaker at the hands of the Tennessee Vikings. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (58), the Wolves still had to take the loss.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Tennessee to victory, but perhaps none more so than Colin Brown, who went 9 for 16 on his way to 21 points and six assists. The matchup was Brown's 11th in a row with at least ten points. Zander Phillips was another key player, going 5 of 12 on his way to 16 points.

West Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 7-3. As for Tennessee, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-2.

West Ridge will take on KACHEA in a holiday battle at at 5:30 p.m. on December 21st. Tennessee and Copper Hills will compete for holiday cheer at 11:30 a.m. on Thursday. Tennessee knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Copper Hills likes a good challenge.
