Recap: Boswell Pioneers vs. Southlake Carroll Dragons
It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Boswell Pioneers can now relate to. They had to suffer through a rough 70-0 loss at the hands of Southlake Carroll. Boswell's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Tye Renfro threw for 91 yards on 17 of 30 attempts. Kairel Robertson was his top target, picking up 30 receiving yards. On the ground, Colin Dixon rushed for 121 yards.
Boswell's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Southlake Carroll, their victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-1.
Boswell does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Southlake Carroll will face off against Frenship at TBD on Friday. Frenship will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 47th, while Southlake Carroll is ranked seventh).
