Baseball Recap: University Extends Winning Streak to Four

University gave up the first runs on Thursday, but they didn't let that get them down. They had just enough and edged out the Elizabeth Cardinals 6-4. Winning may never get old, but the Bulldogs sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

The team relied heavily on Kaden Turk, who went 2-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Those two hits gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Medardo Abrego, who went 2-for-4 with one triple, one run, and one double.

University's victory bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Elizabeth, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.

Looking ahead, University will host Mead at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. University will need to watch out since Mead has now posted at least ten runs in their last three games. As for Elizabeth, they are taking a road trip to face off against Pueblo Centennial at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
