Baseball Recap: Seeger Patriots vs. Covington Trojans

Seeger let Covington stack six runs on them in the first inning on Monday but luckily Seeger prevailed anyway. The Patriots came out on top against the Trojans by a score of 11-8. The Patriots haven't had any issues with the Trojans recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Macyn Hughes was a major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, striking out six batters over seven innings while giving up just two earned (and six unearned) runs off 15 hits (and not a single walk). He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. That triple marked the first that he has hit this season.
