Softball Recap: Mulvane Comes Up Short

Mulvane was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Andale/Garden Plain Indians. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Wildcats of the 19-9 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2022.

Mulvane saw nine different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jaryn Baker, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3. That stolen base was Baker's first of the season.

Mulvane now has a losing record of 4-5.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Wildcats beat Andale/Garden Plain by a score of 12-10 later that day.
