Softball Recap: Harpeth Hall Takes a Loss

Harpeth Hall was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 18-3 to the Christ Presbyterian Academy Lions. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Honeybears of the 23-8 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Harpeth Hall saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Katelyn Riojas, who went 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. Patricia Frohsin also deserves some recognition as she brought in her first RBI of the season.

Harpeth Hall's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Christ Presbyterian Academy, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-3 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harpeth Hall will venture away from home to square off against Brentwood Academy at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The Eagles will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something the Honeybears surely won't give up without a fight. We've got a battle between Lions coming up.
