Softball Recap: Kentlake Extends Road Winning Streak to Four

While Kentlake didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They were the clear victors by a 21-6 margin over the Kent-Meridian Royals on Tuesday. Fans of the Falcons have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Hi'Ilei Gomes was incredible, scoring four runs while getting on base in all five of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Soliesa Cruz, who scored four runs while getting on base in three of her five plate appearances.

Kentlake always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .717. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Kentlake's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-0. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 17.3 runs this season. As for Kent-Meridian, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.
