Baseball Recap: Centennial Gets the Win

Centennial won the last time they faced Stockdale and things went their way on Friday too. The Golden Hawks came out on top in a nail-biter against the Mustangs, sneaking past 6-4. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Golden Hawks.

Jason Adams tossed a big game, pitching five innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits.

At the plate, Alex Hughes was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Logan Miller was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs.

Centennial now has a winning record of 13-12-1. As for Stockdale, their loss ended a five-game streak of away wins and brought them to 18-7-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Centennial is set to challenge their familiar foe Frontier at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Stockdale will face off against rival Liberty at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Mustangs 4.1, the Patriots 4) so any runs scored will be well earned.
