Football Game Preview: Center Hill Mustangs vs. Saltillo Tigers

The Center Hill Mustangs will venture away from home to take on the Saltillo Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Saltillo took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Center Hill, who comes in off a win.

Center Hill will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up seven points last Friday, then bounced right back against Olive Branch on Friday. The Mustangs took down the Conquistadors 32-15. Considering the Mustangs' offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Meanwhile, Saltillo played a tough contest on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Lake Cormorant, falling 41-7. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 21-0.

This is the second loss in a row for Saltillo and nudges their season record down to 3-6. As for Center Hill, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Center Hill might still be hurting after the 21-0 loss they got from Saltillo in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. Can the Mustangs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
