Football Preview: Colusa RedHawks vs. Yreka Miners
The Colusa RedHawks will be defending their home-field for the first timethey go up against the Yreka Miners at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
Colusa is headed into their home opener looking to turn things around after opening their season on the road. They were just a hair shy of victory last Friday and fell 28-27 to Colfax. The RedHawks' defeat signaled the end of their 14-game winning streak dating back to last season.
Loss or not, Colusa got some senior leadership from Adan Travis and Kane Nall. Travis gained 189 total yards and three touchdowns, while Nall. threw for 223 yards and two touchdowns. Travis also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing a fumble and making seven total tackles (1.0 for loss).

Trevan Crane was nothing short of spectacular: he rushed for 200 yards and three touchdowns on only 12 carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 61 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
