Carpinteria was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Santa Maria on Friday. The Warriors blew past the Saints 10-2. The Warriors might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by six runs or more this season.

Carpinteria's victory ended a four-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-9. As for Santa Maria, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Carpinteria will welcome Santa Ynez at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Pirates will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight. As for Santa Maria, they will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Nipomo at 4:30 p.m.
