Basketball Recap: Nazareth Prep Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Nazareth Prep had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They took down the Monessen Greyhounds 53-38 on Wednesday. The win was familiar territory for the Saints, who have now won eight matches in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Nazareth Prep to victory, but perhaps none more so than Khylil Johnson, who posted eight points in addition to six rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Mikey Keyes, who scored seven points along with six boards and five assists.

Nazareth Prep's victory bumped their record up to 18-4. As for Monessen, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 12-10.

Nazareth Prep wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 57-45 loss against Serra Catholic on the 22nd. Monessen does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
