Basketball Game Preview: Indianapolis Washington Continentals vs. Purdue Polytechnic Techies

The Indianapolis Washington Continentals will face off against the Purdue Polytechnic Techies at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.

Indianapolis Washington is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Ben Davis on Saturday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. Indianapolis Washington took a blow against Ben Davis, falling 74-34. The Continentals haven't had much luck with the Giants recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Meanwhile, Purdue Polytechnic came up short against Riverside on Wednesday and fell 48-38.

Defeat or not, Purdue Polytechnic got some senior leadership from Damion Green and James Long Jr.. Green posted 11 points in addition to five boards and five steals, while Long Jr. went 8 for 11 on his way to 17 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Preston Seay, who had two points and four steals.

Indianapolis Washington now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Purdue Polytechnic, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.

Indianapolis Washington was able to grind out a solid win over Purdue Polytechnic when the teams last played back in March of 2024, winning 63-50. Will Indianapolis Washington repeat their success, or does Purdue Polytechnic have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
