The Laney Wildcats had to hit the road for their first game and sadly it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 8-2 walloping at the hands of Thomson on Tuesday. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Laney was already down 5-1.

Thomson's win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 2-4.

Laney will take on Putnam County at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Thomson, they will head out on the road to square off against Josey at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
