Soccer Game Preview: Ashe County vs. Freedom

The Ashe County Huskies will venture away from home to take on the Freedom Patriots at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Ashe County will head out to face Freedom after giving up their first home loss of the season on Friday. The Huskies lost 5-0 to Hibriten. Ashe County have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Freedom's game on Friday was all tied up 1-1 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of South Caldwell by a score of 2-1. Carlie Harris was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on her (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.

Freedom's goal came courtesy of Drew Rogers, who's now up to three this season.

Ashe County suffered their first home defeat, dropping their record down to 4-2-1. As for Freedom, their loss dropped their record down to 5-7-1.
