Football Recap: MacArthur Comes Up Short

The matchup between MacArthur and Channelview on Friday hardly resembled the 14-13 effort from their previous meeting. The Generals came up short against the Falcons, falling 42-21. The Generals were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-0.

Although MacArthur took the loss, they still got scores from Myjah Davis, Xavier Raygoza, and Korey Fisher.

Channelview's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Darius Myles, who rushed for 127 yards and two TDs while picking up 7.5 yards per carry, and also picked up 58 receiving yards. Those 127 rushing yards gave Myles a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Roderick Buckler Ii, who rushed for 40 yards and one score.

MacArthur's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Channelview, the victory also got them back to even at 1-1.

Looking ahead, MacArthur will look to takes advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they takes on West Brook at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Channelview, they are taking a road trip to take on Clear Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
