Softball Game Preview: Foothill Trojans vs. Bakersfield Drillers

The Foothill Trojans will take on the Bakersfield Drillers in a tournament on Friday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Foothill lost 21-2 to Burroughs on Monday. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Meanwhile, Bakersfield suffered their closest loss since March 21, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of Tehachapi by a score of 6-4.

Foothill's defeat dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Bakersfield, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 0-2.

Foothill couldn't quite get it done against Bakersfield in their previous matchup back in March of 2015 as they fell 7-2. Can Foothill avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
