For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when East Lansing and Okemos meet (five straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Thursday. The Trojans fell just short of the Wolves by a score of 4-3. The Trojans haven't had much luck with the Wolves recently, as the team has come up short the last nine times they've met.
Jade Saint-Dic spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and one unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up 11 Ks.
On the hitting side, Jessica Mielock was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run.
East Lansing's loss dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Okemos, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.
