Game recap: South Allegheny never lets up in victory over McGuffey

South Allegheny (McKeesport, Pa.) kept up a steady attack all game long to beat McGuffey (Claysville, Pa.), 41-14, on Saturday.

The Gladiators were up 21-0 at the half after taking the lead on a Keaton McClelland touchdown run in the first quarter.

South Allegheny expanded its lead to 28 points entering the fourth quarter. SA's lone score in the quarter came on a touchdown pass by Dustin Anderson to Brandon Murn.

With the win the McKeesport school extended its winning streak to five games. The Gladiators defeated the Blue Devils 40-7 last week.

The Highlanders' Addison Seman played well. The sophomore wide receiver ran for one touchdown.



South Allegheny's most effective player was Dalton Welsh. The senior running back ran for two touchdowns.

SA went into the matchup giving up only 14.0 points per game.

South Allegheny (5-1) goes up against Keystone Oaks in a WPIAL AA Century game matchup next week, while McGuffey (2-4) locks horns with Burgettstown also in a WPIAL AA Century game.
