Soccer Recap: Porter Comes Up Short

After flying high against Pasadena last Friday, Porter came back down to earth. The Spartans came up short against the West Fork Gators on Friday, falling 3-0. Porter haven't had much luck with West Fork recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Porter's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10-1. As for West Fork, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-11-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Porter will take on rival Dayton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, West Fork is set to square off against their familiar foe Splendora at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
