Soccer Game Preview: North Hollywood vs. Magnolia Science Academy Van Nuys

The North Hollywood Huskies will face off against the Magnolia Science Academy Van Nuys Mustang at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.

North Hollywood fell victim to Chavez and their airtight defense on Friday. They lost 5-0 to the Eagles. While losing is never fun, the Huskies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 850th, while the Eagles are ranked 351st).

Meanwhile, it can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Magnolia Science Academy Van Nuys had no problem doing just that on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand the Huskies a 4-0 shutout. The score was close at the half, but the Mustang pulled away in the second half with three goals.

Magnolia Science Academy Van Nuys' victory bumped their record up to 6-7. As for North Hollywood, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.
