Soccer Recap: Northside's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

After low-scoring totals in their previous four contests, Northside brought some dynamite into their most recent game. Their defense stepped up to hand the Fleming Colonels a 5-0 shutout on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for Northside as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Northside's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 2-5. As for Fleming, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Looking ahead, Northside will face off against Glenvar at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Glenvar will roll in looking for their fifth straight win, something Northside surely won't give up without a fight. As for Fleming, they will square off against Lord Botetourt at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
