Football Game Preview: Kamehameha Maui Warriors vs. Maui Sabers

The Kamehameha Maui Warriors will face off against the Maui Sabers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Kamehameha Maui has three straight victories, Maui has three straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Kamehameha Maui is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Hawaii's top teams: Baldwin, who was ranked 21st at the time (Kamehameha Maui was ranked 16th). The Warriors were the clear victors by a 49-28 margin over the Bears on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Warriors, who have now won four games by 21 points or more so far this season.

Meanwhile, Maui came up short against King Kekaulike on Saturday, falling 28-6.

Kamehameha Maui's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Maui, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.

Kamehameha Maui suffered a grim 30-7 defeat to Maui when the teams last played back in August. That contest was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Warriors were down 30-7.
