Baseball Recap: Seymour Has No Trouble Against Rushville-Industry

Seymour barely beat Rushville-Industry the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Indians were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Rockets on Tuesday. The game snapped a strange streak: the last four times these teams have met, it?s been the away team that?s taken home the W.

Raulin Zehnle made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching five innings while giving up just one earned run off five hits. Seymour is 6-2 when Zehnle allows two or fewer earned runs, but 2-9 otherwise. Zehnle was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with one stolen base and two RBI.

In other batting news, Brody Dieker was incredible, going 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. That's the most runs he has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Nolan Sparks, who went 2-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Seymour always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .588. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
